Episode 21

Little Annie Pop-ins // Episode 21

If you've welcomed a little bubba into the world, today's guest will most likely need no introduction. And if you haven't, let's be honest you've probably seen your friends and family's Pop-in pictures appear on your Facebook feed - and been wondering what that little white chair has to do with everything?!

Well today we're going to find out all about it - as my guest is the wonderful and talented Anna, photographer, founder and CEO of Little Annie Pop-in Portraits. Since starting out photographing weddings and families after studying photography (and a brief stint of law – like the best of us!), Anna struck absolute gold when she started offering quick baby photographs for her clients and their friends, in group sessions once a month, for just $20 a pop.

Since then, through Anna and her team's massive efforts and hard work, Pop-ins have become a straight-up rite of passage for new parents. Not to mention the business has morphed into a genius marketing franchise model for photographers around the country, and increasingly, the world.

If you're a business geek like me – wow, what a business model. While I've been friends with Anna since pretty much the birth of Pop-ins, when we worked together in the wedding industry in Wellington – I still have so many questions to ask her about how it all works behind the scenes, marketing, the franchise model, copy-cats, balancing work and family life, and taking Pop-Ins to the World... It's a goodie!
Check out all the Pop-in cuteness over on Facebook (www.facebook.com/popinportraits/) or Instagram (@popinphotos) and you can book online on their website (popinphotos.com) - they do have gift vouchers for a friend, if you don't have a bubba yourself!).
